Thor HRT3618U Gas Rangetop 36-Inch 6-Burner Stainless Steel Rangetop

Thor HRT3618U Gas Rangetop is a 36-inch built-in cooking appliance with six sealed burners. It uses natural gas and features a stainless steel finish. In addition, continuous cast iron grates provide a stable cooking surface across the burners.

Six Gas Burners

The rangetop includes six gas burners with different heat outputs. Therefore, users can select suitable burners for different cooking tasks.

The front left and front right burners each provide 18,000 BTU. Meanwhile, the front middle burner provides 15,000 BTU.

650 BTU Simmer

The front middle burner also provides a 650 BTU simmer setting. Therefore, it supports cooking tasks that require lower heat.

In addition, this setting can help with suitable sauces and other low-heat preparations.

Rear Burners

Three burners are positioned at the rear of the cooking surface. Each rear burner provides 12,000 BTU.

As a result, the six-burner layout provides several cooking positions across the 36-inch surface.

Continuous Cast Iron Grates

Heavy-duty continuous cast iron grates cover the cooking area. Therefore, cookware can move between burners across the connected grate surface.

The grates also provide support for compatible pots and pans during cooking.

Automatic Electric Ignition

The rangetop uses automatic electric ignition. Therefore, users do not need to manually light the burners during normal operation.

The ignition system also supports automatic re-ignition if a burner flame goes out.

Front Controls

Standard dial controls are positioned along the front of the rangetop. Therefore, each burner control remains accessible from the front.

In addition, the metal knobs include trim rings for the blue LED lighting.

Blue LED Lights

Blue LED lights are integrated around the control area. The lights provide a visual indication when the burners are operating.

Therefore, users can quickly identify active controls during cooking.

Porcelain Spill Tray

A black porcelain spill tray sits below the burners. As a result, it provides a surface for collecting cooking spills.

In addition, the dark finish contrasts with the stainless steel exterior.

Natural Gas and LP Conversion

The HRT3618U comes configured for natural gas. However, Thor lists this model as convertible to liquid propane with the compatible conversion kit.

The LP conversion kit is sold separately and is not included with this model.

Installation Size

The rangetop measures 36 inches wide, 27.75 inches deep, and about 7.31 inches high.

The required cutout is 36.25 inches wide, 25.63 inches deep, and about 7.31 inches high. Therefore, installation dimensions should be checked before fitting the appliance.
